Boy saves 3-year-old from drowning

Sarasota, Florida -- A 3-year-old girl is recovering from a near-drowning incident after her life was saved thanks to the quick thinking of a 10-year-old neighbor.

Sarasota Police say on the evening of April 20, Alexander Castanon was swimming at his apartment complex pool on Signal Pointe Circle with his three-year-old neighbor Natalee and one of her parents. The three-year-old was wearing a flotation ring at the time the adult jumped out of the pool when a fire started in a nearby grill.

Detectives: Men dealt nearly $1M in marijuana a year

Sarasota, Florida -- Sarasota Police held a press conference Monday to announce what they called a significant drug bust, which led to the arrest of two mid-level local suppliers.

Sarasota Sheriff's Narcotics detectives began Operation Hammerhead in 2012 after they received an anonymous complaint of drug sales in area nightclubs by Anthony Snead.
