Work off extra pounds at "Beginner Boot Camp"

Sarasota, Florida- Summer time is just a few weeks away and if you put on a few winter pounds, here's a chance to work them off. "Beginner Boot Camp" offers exercise classes with no pressure.

Classes are held 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning May 7 for eight weeks at the Venice Community Center at 326 S. Nokomis Ave., in Venice. The first class is free!

Detectives: Men dealt nearly $1M in marijuana a year

Sarasota, Florida -- Sarasota Police held a press conference Monday to announce what they called a significant drug bust, which led to the arrest of two mid-level local suppliers.

Sarasota Sheriff's Narcotics detectives began Operation Hammerhead in 2012 after they received an anonymous complaint of drug sales in area nightclubs by Anthony Snead.

Teen attacked at beach pavilion, 3 young men sought

Sarasota, Florida -- The Sarasota Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding the young men involved in the attack of a teen at Siesta Key Beach early Monday morning.

Investigators say the attack occurred in the pavilion/picnic area around 12:45 a.m.

The teenage boy suffered serious injuries and was Bayflighted to Blake Regional Medical Center. His condition at this time is not known.

The three suspects wanted in the attack are described below:
