All art is hand-made from a variety of mediums, often from repurposed materials.

Sarasota, Florida -- The Jazz Club of Sarasota will present "Jazz on the Water" with the Ashwood Jazz Trio in May. 

The Jazz Club of Sarasota presents its annual “Jazz on the Water” cruise, Sunday, May 5, 2013, 3-5 p.m., aboard LeBarge, which departs from Bayfront Park in downtown Sarasota.

Guests will enjoy the swinging sounds of Henry Ashwood and his Ashwood Jazz Trio.

Tickets are $30 for Jazz Club members; $35 for non-members. Snacks and beverages will be available for sale; guests are requested not to bring coolers.

The quartet will be in schools in Sarasota and Manatee counties, May 1-7, 2013, as part of The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast's "Education Outreach Program."

Siesta Fiesta this weekend; roads closed

Siesta Key, Florida - Arts, crafts, and music combine for Siesta Fiesta this weekend. The event celebrates its 35th year on April 13 and 14.

More than 250 artists and crafters will take part. The artists will line Ocean Boulevard, while crafters will display their wares throughout Siesta Key Village.

Ocean Boulevard will be closed to cars starting at Ocean and Canal and running through Beach Road.

Hyde" will be at the Regal Cinemas Hollywood 20 at 1993 Main Street in Sarasota at the screening of the film on Wednesday, April 10 at 3pm.
