Lake Sarasota community cleanup to be held July 21 | Community Spirit

Sarasota, Florida -- It's time to clean out the garage and gather up yard waste, tree trimmings and discarded household items.
Sarasota County will hold its annual free community cleanup in the Lake Sarasota area from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21. The community cleanup is for residential customers only.
Dumpsters will be provided by Waste Management at two locations:
- Tora Place and Brentford Road (northwest corner by Fire Station 8). Tires and appliances will be accepted at this site only.
- 7100 Lago Street (in front of Lakeview Paw Park).
At both sites, residents can dispose of most household items, yard waste, tree trimmings and other garbage or refuse. Sarasota County employees will be available at each site to offer assistance.
Hazardous materials such as auto parts, electronics, televisions and computers will not be accepted at either site. Hazardous waste may be taken to 8750 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday.
