Mega adoption events for Caboodle Ranch cats | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Clearwater, Florida -- The ASPCA is hosting two major cat adoption events in the Tampa Bay area on Saturday, Aug. 11 and Sunday, Aug. 12 to help find homes for hundreds of cats rescued from Caboodle Ranch on Feb. 27.
Some of the cats do have special medical and behavior needs, including barn cats and those that are FIV-positive or have feline leukemia. The ASPCA hopes to find loving families that will open their homes and hearts to these cats.
The Sarasota event will be held at the Robarts Arena located at 3000 Ringling Blvd. from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The Pinellas County event will be held at 1928 Gulf to Bay Blvd. in Clearwater from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Potential adopters should bring with them one government-issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport, military ID, or non-driver ID), proof of address, and a pet transfer crate, if possible.
In Sarasota, cats will be available for a $10 donation; in Clearwater, potential adopters can name their own fee. All adoptable cats will be spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and provided an ID tag free of charge.
Members of the ASPCA Anti-Cruelty Behavior Team and animal behaviorists from other groups will also be on-site to help answer questions about temperament and personality in order to make the best possible match with potential adopters.
