Man charged with murder during robbery attempt | Crime
Sarasota, Florida -- Sarasota Sheriff's deputies arrested the person they say was responsible for the shooting death of a man during a robbery attempt Saturday afternoon.
Detectives say 27-year-old Michael Minor went to an apartment complex in the 5000 block of Central Sarasota Parkway around 3 p.m. to get some things in a vehicle he thought belonged to 39-year-old Sam Dreher.
When Minor was caught in the act and confronted by Dreher, Minor demanded his wallet and cell phone. The two argued and when Minor flashed a gun, Dreher ran up the stairs. He was shot twice.
When deputies arrived, Minor was arrested without incident.
Dreher was on life support at Blake Medical Center, however, he succumbed to his injuries Sunday night.
Minor is charged with First Degree Murder, Attempted Robbery with a Firearm and Burglary with a Firearm.
