Sarasota animal groups unite to save all the kittens

Sarasota, Florida -- It's kitten season and already hundreds of kittens have entered shelters and foster homes across Sarasota County. 

This year local humane organizations are committed to saving every life so they are asking the public to take kittens and pregnant cats to local rescue groups to alleviate the burden on Sarasota County Animal Services.

Cat Depot wants people to know it’s easy to save lives with a short term commitment and a spare bathroom or bedroom.

Sarasota, Florida -- It seems like everyone is doing the Harlem Shake these days, and Cat Depot is joining in on the craze in order to draw attention to a good cause.

Cat Depot hopes the 30-second video will draw awareness to the no-kill, free roaming animal shelter just in time for the 36-Hour Giving Challenge on March 5 and 6, 2013. The video is staged inside the shelter and includes staff members and volunteers who show their creativity and enthusiasm in a very humorous and surprising way. See the video here.

Sarasota, Florida – The Bayside Pet Resort and Spa is offering free pet portraits to 25 people Tursday, Oct. 18, from 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

The resort is hosting popular 20-year-old Sarasota pet photographer Emilee Fuss with a wine and cheese reception for pet parents. Fuss will be providing free 8 x 10 portraits for 25 pets.

Her pet photography can be seen throughout The Bayside Pet Resort & Spa.
